About Heather 💋🫀🦇
Heather Holman is the creator of Historic Haunt, where she shares gothic lifestyle content across Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube. Her content combines gothic crafting, dark academia interior design, traditional gardening with a spooky twist, and horror culture—always delivered with humor and personality.
She lives in her 1890s Second Empire home in Western Maryland with her husband, horror-loving son, and a lively household of two dogs, two cats, and two snakes. Much of Heather’s inspiration comes from renovating the historic house and bringing her creative seasonal ideas to life.
Before focusing on Historic Haunt full time, Heather worked as a web developer and model. She still manages social media for several companies while dedicating most of her time to content creation and restoring her historic home.
Heather is also active in her community, volunteering on several boards and serving as a member of two search and rescue teams.
Sugar and Spice and everything Halloween
🥀🫀🕸️🕷️💋🎃🦇💀
Halloween has always held a special place in Heather’s heart. Growing up, she and her mother spent each October crafting homemade costumes together, sparking a lifelong love of spooky creativity. Today, Heather continues that tradition with her own family, creating matching horror-themed costumes each year with her son and loved ones as part of their Halloween celebration. Halloween has always been Heather’s favorite holiday, and at Historic Haunt she finds ways to celebrate it all year long. Whether it’s decorating, gardening, crafting, or planning the next spooky display, she loves bringing a touch of Halloween magic into every season.
